Yellow-billed Cuckoo

Got some shots of a Yellow-billed Cuckoo!

Frankly, I didn't know the bird existed, but it turns out I had been hearing their call and wondering what bird was making that sound.

The Audubon Society describes the call like this;

"A rapid, harsh, rattling 'ka-ka-ka-ka-ka-ka-kow-kow-kowp, kowp, kowp', with a distinct slowing down at the end."

These pics were taken at the river end of Riffle Run Trail, Darby Creek Metro Park, Galloway, OH. USA.

The large white spots on the underside of the tail also helps ID the Yellow-billed Cuckoo.
